In the excavation of the underground levels of Arktype, the central chamber of H2O was unearthed. Later research revealed the space to have been a subterranean bathhouse pre-dating the Chicago Fire of 1871. The vault, apse and arcades of the bathhouse were restored to their original detailing as they were converted to house a quarter olympic size lap pool as well as the re-articulation of the hot springs basin uncovered at the apse.

Flanking the central chamber and its arcades, on either side, are found large additions to the original volume containing both the WaterTreatment Plants for theArk as well as the FishFarm and the HydroponicAgricultureFlats which compose theArk's primary food source while under the DigitalStorm. Also located within the AgricultureFlats is the GanjaTemple, providing the delta for an axiomatic Tribe talisman.

H2O can best be described as an interior simulation of a temple or a clearing within a forest.
Groundcover, pools of water, waterfalls and a cliff-like envelope characterize the feel of H2O. One of theArk's largest spaces, it will serve the secondary purpose of claustrophobic relief while under the DigitalStorm. It will feel in both enclosure and climate as the conservatories of the outside world feel.

Adding to this with Digital prosthetics... immense DigitalMosaic's were added to the vault's in both the central chamber as well as the flanking upper arcades. These DigitalMosaic's serve primarily in projecting rolling sky variations to the ceiling, reinforcing the exterior environmental simulation.

Due to how well the upper arcades at H2O lend themselves to linear storytelling, they were chosen as the home for more condensed versions of the DigitalMosaic's, employed to tell the Stations of Optiflux. the ( 5 ) stages of the AnalogCalm, the Transmutation and the ( 5 ) stages of the DigitalStorm.

Finally, somewhere within H2O is the clandestine foxhole leading to the chamber of the Digital Fox. She makes her home here at H2O as she most certainly finds the wide open spaces creatively and emotionally liberating.

H2O is accessed down a grand staircase from theAxis as it intersects the northwest corner of Alchemy.
